The Role

They are looking to appoint an Associate Mechanical Lead to join their growing Cardiff office, acting as the second-in-command within the regional mechanical team.

This is a key leadership role within the business, supporting the regional lead while helping to manage project delivery, client relationships and the continued growth and development of the team. You will play a significant role in delivering major multidisciplinary projects across a wide range of sectors, while also helping to mentor and develop junior engineers within the business.

The role will involve leading mechanical design delivery, overseeing technical quality, supporting business development activities and acting as a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a senior leadership position within a well-established consultancy, whilst still remaining technically involved in project delivery. The Requirements

You should currently be operating at Principal Mechanical Engineer or Associate level within a building services consultancy environment.


The client is looking for someone with strong technical mechanical design experience, excellent client-facing ability and a proven track record delivering projects within sectors such as healthcare, defence, commercial, education or infrastructure.


Experience managing teams, mentoring junior staff and supporting project delivery across multidisciplinary environments would be highly advantageous. Chartered status, or progression toward it, would also be beneficial.


Equally important is attitude - they are looking for someone collaborative, commercially aware and capable of helping drive both project delivery and team growth within the Cardiff office.


The Package

The salary on offer is typically in the region of £75,000-£80,000, depending on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
