MEP Associate Design Engineer / Design Manager Job Plymouth | 70k

Our client is a Tier-1 MEP contractor based across the South West. The role

Due to a period of successful project wins, with an orderbook well into 2026 they are now looking to bolster their MEP design team in the South, with the addition of a Design Manager. This is an opportunity to have more control over the design process, build a team of likeminded engineers and work across a portfolio of interesting projects.


The requirements

Ideally you will have experience working within a consultancy or contractor setting and have some experience working on MOD/Government schemes. If not, a background in Healthcare would be a close second. You would have some form of recognised charter qualification and have a strong degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar and be comfortable/have some experience in taking a lead on projects and liaising with clients.

You will be required to get involved in projects from conception, helping to steer the design process and sit alongside a team of experienced engineers on projects from the very start, helping to establish best practices, cost-saving opportunities and delivering excellent. You will have the support of the wider UK team, while building on an existing team in your local office.


The package

The client is keen to speak with an individual who's keen and able to add value. Because of this, they would be keen to speak with engineers traditionally at a Principal to Senior Associate level. Typically for this role, you could expect to earn anywhere between £60,000 - £70,000 + benefits, but open to negotiation if your desired salary is below or above these parameters.
