The role
Following a number of significant project wins, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer, ideally someone close to progressing into a Senior Engineer position, to join their team in Exeter. This role offers a hybrid working model, with time split between the Exeter office and remote working.
You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical design on a range of schemes, supporting multi-disciplinary teams, and liaising directly with clients and stakeholders. Due to the nature of some of the projects, it would be extremely advantageous if you already hold security clearance, or are eligible and willing to apply for it upon joining.

The requirements
A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
Experience working in a consultancy or comparable environment on mechanical design projects.
Project exposure across sectors such as Defence, Education, Healthcare or Multi-use developments.
Ambition to step into greater responsibility, leading aspects of projects and liaising directly with clients.
Existing security clearance (SC) or eligibility to obtain it.
You’ll be proactive, collaborative, and eager to build on your technical and leadership skills without being pigeonholed.
The package
Salary in the region of £40,000 - £50,000 (negotiable for the right individual).
Hybrid working, with part office / part remote flexibility.
